I’m actually really excited about this extension – I wanted to review it much sooner, but it never really got updated to work with SketchUp 2017, so I couldn’t really do any tutorials with it. This week’s extension, selected by my supporters on Patreon, is called extrude tools! Plugin Name – Extrude Tools Plugin Developer – TIG Plugin Cost – Free (Please remember to donate to your developers) If so, please consider supporting me on Patreon (click here to support) or by visiting my Support the Show Page! In this week’s extension of the week, we’re going to review an extension that allows you to extrude faces from lines, rather than just faces.ĭo you like these SketchUp tutorials and videos? It’s worth noting that all of these contain tools like the ability to only generate edges instead of faces, the ability to adjust the number of edges created to generate each face, and more.AMAZING Extrusions in SketchUp with Extrude Tools – ALL TOOLS EXPLAINED! – Extension of the Week #47 This is probably my most used tool within Curviloft.

This lets you create interesting shapes like tensile structures, glass exteriors, and more. Skin contours allows you to create skins over frames. It’s very similar to the SketchUp follow me tool, only it allows you to add intermediate shapes, allowing you to change between squares, circles, and much more with your shape Loft along path allows you to take a shape and loft it along a path. It does this by drawing intermediate edges between the lines to create those faces. Loft by spline allows you to create a face in SketchUp using just a series of lines. Curviloft contains many different tools for creating skins either across frames or by “lofting” geometry, meaning creating a face between lines.
